keep up good spirit

The light installation was first mounted across Amagerbrogade in 2012, as an encouragement during the dark months.

The work was installed under the organizational name “Good Work Productions”, as a cover name for me and my collaborators at the time.

Subsequently, Good Work Productions has made the sign available for free to anyone who thinks they need it.

The sign has been lended to, among others, Nansensgade, Roskilde Festival, Super Deluxe in Tokyo, and the Danish Jazz Awards.

The phrase “Keep Up Good spirit” was deliberately chosen over the more commonly used, but less poetic “keep up the good spirit”, so that the phrase could also mean follow along or stay in good spirits.

Practicalities
The sign is LED and therefore consumes about the same level of power as a coffee machine. The sign is 1000 x 80 cm and can be disassembled into three parts.
The frame itself is made of aluminium and weighs a maximum of 20 kilos. It is easily mounted with ordinary plastic strips.
