Mountains

I work with variant landscape ‘objects’ such as suns, moons, the sea and mountains in a symbolic or even, in an animistic sense, as a kind of character.

This series illustrates my year-long fascination with and studies of mountains as magical and as pathways to enlightenment. Sometimes I reflect on their majestic nature. At times, I question what they are made of and how they are constructed – not in a scientific way, but rather as a human, standing before it, trying to grasp what mysteries mountains hold and what we can learn from them.
