2024

This series was made using the icon technique on mdf. The time was early 2024 at which point, it seemed to me the world was beginning to go so mad and violent, that this was the only thing that I could make art about. Usually, my work originates from personal tragedy, everyday life griefs. But this time, my everyday sorrow was the state of the world. The works hold for me both a potentially healing aspect of light, and a melting, a breakdown, a war machine of fire. The sun as life-giving and as a destructive force.
